LANpoint Industrial Windows/DOS AutoID Computers All LANpoint data collection computers are open architecture PCs with DOS or Windows CE operating systems, wired or wireless Ethernet connectivity and barcode/magnetic stripe data collection capabilities. Use standard programming languages or off-the-shelf software, and standard network management tools. Whether NEMA-12 (IP52) rated for dust and water resistance, or NEMA-4 (IP66) rated for hose-down or other harsh environments. All models have digital I/O (for sensing on/off conditions and turning devices - lights, motors, etc.- on and off ) included or as an option. All models have battery backup options and off-line processing with local data storage capabilities. LANpoint CE Series New vehicle/fixed-mount LANpoint CE is a rugged, high-powered Windows CE computer designed for demanding data collection applications. This price- performance leader offers several configurations and comes with a waterproof, dustproof case. The Vehicle- mount system has been certified for shock and vibration testing to MIL-STD- 810E and SAE J 1455 by an independent laboratory.  The LANpoint CE runs Windows CE 3.0, features an 1/2 VGA monochrome screen upgradeable to color or touch screen, has an easy-to-use QWERTY keyboard, built-in barcode decoding, and is IEEE802.11 (b) RF Ethernet ready. LANpoint PRO Series The LANpoint PRO series data collection computers have two uniquely useful configurations. The LANpoint PRO is a powerful, attractive, and full-featured data collection terminal. The INCREASE THE PRODUCTIVITY OF YOUR OPERATIONS WITH FAST AND ACCURATE DATA ANYWHERE FACTORYpoint PRO extends this power into NEMA-4 (IP66) hose-down, dustproof, or other harsh environmental installations. The PRO Series are standard 486 PCs with many standard features including a 4 x 40 or 2 x 20 LCD display, room for one or two PC104 cards and both type II and type III PCMCIA slots. While one of the PCMCIA slots is used as a solid-state disk drive for DOS and local data storage, the other is available for user requirements such as a hard disk, RF Ethernet, or token ring network card. The PC104 expansion slot can support many functions including VGA video, floppy/hard drive support, network interfaces and sound modules. LANpoint CE Computers The Windows CE LANpoint computers necessarily require a Software Developers Kit (SDK) for development and to support add-on options like digital I/O, specific barcode decoding, front-panel LEDs, and time synchronization. Intelligent Instrumentation's SDK can be downloaded from our LANpoint.com Developer's Web pages at no additional cost.  What is just as impressive is that Microsoft's eMbedded tools (Visual C++, Visual Basic) for Windows CE are currently available from Microsoft at no charge.  Software development tools can not be any less expensive than that! 17 RS-232/422 DATA COLLECTION Terminals For Operator Interface & Data Collection TM8501/8551 The Compact Case The TM8501/TM8551 are compact data entry/display terminals with versatile mounting system that allows the unit to be placed on a desktop,  wall or recess on an equipment panel.  The unit has a 2 X 40 backlit LCD and a sturdy dust and moisture resistant  keyboard. TM4500 The Desktop Case The TM4500 is a very cost effective data collection solution for applications requiring a limited amount of numeric keyboard entry.   It has a high contrast 2 X 16 liquid crystal display that can be adjusted to many angles in 15 degree increments. Data Collection Terminals Any of these units interface to and control a wide range of input devices from bar code wands to radio frequency tags.  In addition, the ability of our terminals to directly collect machine data and control a full range of automatic measuring devices, such as scales and gauges, is unequaled. The faceplate is made from  a silicone rubber with a 50 durometer and an ASTM type designation of "VMQ".   This unit  is a favorite in petrochemical, pharmaceutical and food processing industries and wherever washdown is required.
