Co-founded DiviCom in 1993, a manufacturer of digital video processing
equipment for satellite, cable, telephone companies, and broadcasters.
Held most of the major functional executive roles at critical periods,
including Engineering through introduction of the first product and
Marketing and Sales during expansion from the first market segment to
multiple market segments and international sales. Became general
manager of the business as a division after its acquisition by C-Cube
Microsystems and led the division for a three year period in which it
created over $1.5B of shareholder value: the business was acquired for
$130M by C-Cube in 1997 and was sold to Harmonic for $1.7B in 2000,
at which point it had over 450 employees, $170M profitable annual
revenue, and sales in 80 countries.
